Carburizing Steels

These are alloy or non-alloy steels used in the manufacturing of impact-resistant parts where hard and wear-resistant properties are desired on the surface, and softer, tough properties are desired in the core. Carburizing steels are used in the manufacture of parts such as gears, shafts, piston pins, chain links, sprockets and rollers, discs, guide bearings, rolling bearings, rollers, medium-stressed or highly stressed parts, and cutting tools.
